The C7A2 assault rifle is the standard issue infantry rifle of the Canadian Forces and is in use with the OPP and RCMP as well. Army-issue rifles typically come equipped with C79 optical sights which have a tritium illuminated reticle, for normal and low-light conditions and provides 3.4×28 magnification. The C7A2 has a collapsible stock while other versions (C7, C7A1) of the rifle have solid, non-adjustable stocks.
